GREEN SOLUTION

Dear readers, I would like to briefly tell you about myself. I am a Civil Engineer by profession, and I continue my business life in my own companies that I founded, operating in the Renewable Energy sector, installing Solar Power Plants, and conducting online sales and trade on Textile and Food. I am also involved in intensive civil society activities; I am the President of Denizli Rotary Club and TÜLOV Denizli Representative and Member of the Board of Trustees. When renewable energy comes to my professional business life, the dream and discourse of a greener world is with me in every aspect of my life… For this reason, we will meet with you at the Green Corner in Kentdeha. * I will try to share Green Solutions about life and the ecosystem at the Green Corner. Sometimes in the face of ecological and sometimes economic problems, with a greener future and sustainable development goals, I will humbly share my green solution suggestions with you, my valued readers. Since we will say “Greener Tomorrows Are Possible!” a lot, I will write about the responsibilities we need to take today in the field of environment and energy, and the steps we need to take. I will talk about how it is possible to grow without sacrificing ecologies to economies, and how we can leave a more livable world for future generations with more efficient use of natural resources. They say global warming and climate crisis are the problems of the future, but they are not! Global warming and climate crisis are today's problems. I will remind you how wrong it is to ignore this crisis today, and that even bigger problems will await our world in the near future as a result of these irresponsible actions. Speaking of climate crisis, another big crisis is on the way: Food crisis. I will share sustainable agriculture examples with you in my column. The mistakes that can be reversed today may be the beginning of a path that will put us in a bigger impasse in the future. I will talk about how vital it is to quickly reverse these mistakes. * It is not too late, of course it is not too late for anything. The best time to start everything is now! Let's take action for a greener, cleaner tomorrow, right now! Speaking of let's take action today for a greener, cleaner tomorrow! An important change was implemented in the Unlicensed Electricity Production Regulation published by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) on August 11, 2022, which we talked about a lot and restricted the sale of electricity produced in Unlicensed Solar Power Plants; the regulation paved the way for the electricity produced in any renewable energy facility in Turkey to be offset at any consumption point regardless of the distribution region. Thereupon, in the change published by the EPDK on October 01, 2022, it was stated that if more than one production facility was desired to be established for one or more consumption points, production facilities could be established within the borders of different authorized supply company regions. The regulation regarding the change made in the Unlicensed Electricity Production Regulation in the Electricity Market was published in the Official Gazette dated October 01, 2022. What Does This Mean? According to this change, the production facilities that businesses or individuals with the same title will establish in order to offset the electricity consumed in any region of Türkiye can be in different distribution regions in any region of Türkiye. Thus, the previous requirement that all production facilities be located in the same authorized supply company region has been abolished. This development, which will add positive momentum to renewable energy investments, is pleasing, after the famous August 11, 2022 regulation, which negatively affected many investors' Unlicensed Electricity Generation investments. Finally, when we consider the use of energy resources from the perspective of our country; when TEİAŞ data is examined in terms of installed power and production, we see that we use imported and domestic energy resources almost half the time. In addition, these imported energy resources are fossil energy resources such as coal and natural gas. In other words, they are neither economical nor ecological... Most importantly, the resource does not belong to us, it leads to external dependency... The only way out of this situation, which is disadvantageous for our country in every respect, is to increase and support the use of renewable energy resources by the public. With the awareness of our responsibility towards today's economy and the ecology of our future, we are excitedly waiting for more determined and positive steps. I wish you, our valuable readers, a pleasant week... I wish you healthy days, until we see you next week.
